Not every breakdown belongs on a hook. A no-start in a customer’s yard, a derate at a warehouse dock, or a DPF that will not regen in a staging lot can often be diagnosed — and sometimes repaired — where the truck sits. KG Truck Services runs mobile truck repair out of Mississauga for owner-operators and fleets across the GTA. We bring electronic diagnostics, common repair capability, and a direct line to the same shop that rebuilds engines and certifies DriveON inspections.
What we handle on site
Mobile calls are built for problems that strand a truck without requiring a full bay. No-starts and no-cranks: batteries, cables, grounds, starters, and ECM power. Fault codes and derates: aftertreatment, sensors, and wiring we can reach without a pit. Forced regens and DPF troubleshooting when the filter is not already melted. Lighting, ABS lamps, air leaks we can isolate, and HVAC failures that keep a driver from taking the next dispatch. Jump-starts and basic roadside recovery when that is truly all you need — with an honest answer if it is not.
What we will not pretend to do in a parking lot: a complete engine rebuild, a transmission R&R that needs a transmission jack and a clean floor, a full wheel alignment, or a DriveON inspection that requires certified equipment and a tablet workflow in a Vehicle Inspection Centre. If the job needs the shop, we will say so on the first call and arrange the tow instead of billing you for a mobile visit that was never going to finish the work.
Diagnostics first, then the right next step
The value of a KG mobile call is the same 29,000+ diagnostic habit we use in the shop. We do not replace a starter because it “clicked once.” We test. If the truck needs a module programmed, a harness repaired, or an injector confirmed dead, you get that finding in language you can act on. If the engine has made metal and needs a rebuild, you get a path to 6771 Columbus Road — the same facility that has finished 890+ rebuilds — instead of a shrug and a dealer appointment three days out.
We cover Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Oakville, and the surrounding GTA. Industrial parks, carrier yards, warehouse docks, and highway-adjacent lots are the usual stops. Tell us the gate code, the dock number, and whether the truck is loaded. A loaded trailer changes what we can safely do with brakes and driveline. Safety of the technician and the site comes first; if the location is not workable, we will tell you where to move the truck.
How to dispatch a mobile call
Call (905) 564-0880 with the year, make, engine, the complaint, and the closest intersection or yard address. If there are fault codes on the dash, read them off. If the truck was just at another shop, say so — leftover work is part of the diagnosis. We will tell you whether a mobile technician is the right send or whether the truck should come to the shop for a bay, an emissions test, or a rebuild estimate.
After-hours and weekend needs depend on technician availability. Regular shop hours are Monday to Friday 9 to 6 and Saturday 8 to 2. If your truck is down outside those hours, call anyway; we will tell you what we can staff. The point of mobile service is simple: keep a recoverable truck from becoming a two-day recovery. When it is recoverable, we come to you. When it is not, we get it to the people who can finish the job.
